Getting To Better Know Our Awesome Dental Assistant, Tiffany

SOMETIMES, WE’RE  GUILTY OF ASSUMING TOO MUCH, RIGHT? We recently realized that we’ve probably wrongly assumed that ALL of you—our valued patients—know Tiffany as well as we do! That’s probably not the case.

So, We Asked Tiffany A Few Questions

We asked Tiffany a few questions to help you get to know her a little better. Those questions are found below—along with her candid answers! Enjoy!

Where are you originally from?

“I am originally from Pittsburg, California and a third generation Californian. All my great grandparents were born in Italy.”

What made you decide that you wanted to become an orthodontic assistant?

“At first, I had an interest in becoming a dental hygienist. After graduating from Diablo Valley College Dental Assisting Program and having completed my internship at Gorczyca Orthodontics in 2003, I decided to become an orthodontic assistant. I had the opportunity to join the excellent team at Gorczyca Orthodontics. I’ve been working as an orthodontic assistant ever since.”

When you started as an orthodontic assistant was there something funny that happened? Do you dare tell us that story?

“After working at Gorczyca Orthodontics for a few years, I moved away to Sacramento where I worked in one other orthodontic office. A few years later, when I returned back to East County, I approached Dr. Gorczyca about returning to my previous job. We talked about many things, including the fact that I wanted to marry my boyfriend of 4 years. Dr. Gorczyca said “What’s the problem?” I said “I’m waiting to get married.” Dr. Gorczyca said “Well, tell your boyfriend, that you’re getting married this weekend and go to Lake Tahoe!” So, I did it, and now I am married and we have a daughter!”

What’s your favorite thing to do when you’re not at work?

“When I’m not at work, I am a busy mother with my 2 1/2 year old daughter. I especially love spending time with my family.”

What do you enjoy most about being a dental assistant?

“What I enjoy most is making a difference in the lives of our patients. I feel that we bring joy to our patient’s lives. Every day is different. We always have something fun to share and special events to look forward to. There is never a dull moment!”

We hope you’ve enjoyed getting to know Tiffany a little better. Here at our practice we feel really fortunate to have her as a member of our awesome team.
